Columbia Threadneedle was proud to be named Employer of the Year at the 2017 Women in Finance Awards. Presented by HM Treasury, the award recognises companies that have proactively cultivated a diverse workforce, aiming to achieve equal gender representation at all levels. The judges look for companies with the most diversity amongst senior employees, the best maternity/paternity benefits, a proven track record in promoting diversity, and the most extensive diversity-supportive policies in recruitment and operations. Columbia Threadneedle was the first European asset manager to disclose our gender data in 2015 and was a founding signatory of HM Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter last year. In a recent report by the think tank New Financial, ‘Counting Every Woman 2017, we came top of the asset management sector for women on executive committees at 40% representation, and were among the top five for board level representation with 33%.
